Student Voice
At Â鶹Դ´ we encourage all our students to contribute actively in shaping their educational experience. We understand the importance of our students’ views and opinions and provide a range of opportunities for students to share these.
How we collect feedback from our students
Student voice surveys take place each year and involve all students across the academy. This ensures we collate accurate, valuable and purposeful feedback from every student within the academy.
Student Leaders are nominated each academic year by phase leaders, teachers and college managers. Each week the student leader groups meet to discuss a wide range of initiatives and school themes to allow our students to actively shape the educational experiences at the academy.
Principal’s Breakfast involves small weekly group discussions to review students’ opinions and views on all aspects of school life. These include how children are taught, the curriculum we offer, behaviour, student support and extracurricular opportunities. Each academic year the Principal’s Breakfast calendar is reviewed to ensure this includes all subject areas, all year groups and from each student group across the academy.
We have our own wellbeing platform the ‘’ that offers 24/7 support for all students, staff, parents and carers to provide self-help strategies and constructive advice and guidance.
An annual bullying survey takes place each academic year with all students across the academy. Students learn about the different types of bullying; they are then given the opportunity to respond to the survey and be supported if they have experienced bullying of any form.
