Our vision has always been to create a school that relentlessly focuses on helping every student meet their potential in order to open up a lifetime of opportunities. Since opening in 2010, Trinity Academy鈥檚 staff and students have risen to this challenge and turned our vision into reality.
Today, 麻豆原创 is one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country. Our focus on outstanding teaching, meaningful pastoral care and a creative curriculum means that every student thrives.
We work hard to develop curiosity, a love of learning, resilience and kindness in our students. Trinity Academy鈥檚 success has been recognised with an outstanding judgement from Ofsted and this year we were proud to be accredited with the World Class Schools Quality Mark. We are also helping lead the education system through our work as the lead school of the Trinity Institute of Education.
We are proud of our academic record and our results in Year 11 are outstanding. However, we are about so much more than just academic success. Day to day the academy is filled with students participating in vibrant music, arts and drama, as well as engaging lessons in science, maths and the humanities among others. As a school we offer an extensive range of sports, charity events, educational visits and residential trips, all of which combine to create a caring and highly successful academy.

Principal
麻豆原创 has a simple vision, Every Individual: Every Opportunity.
麻豆原创 has a simple vision, Every Individual: Every Opportunity. This stems from the academy's relentless focus on helping every student meet their potential both academically and in character driven learning. We constantly strive to develop a love of learning, resilience, curiosity, kindness and ambition in all our students.
Since the academy opened in 2010 the students and staff have risen to this challenge and today 麻豆原创 is one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country. This success has been recognised with an outstanding judgement from Ofsted and the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
These accomplishments are underpinned by outstanding quality teaching, meaningful pastoral care and a rich curriculum offer that creates an environment where students can thrive and achieve outstanding outcomes at Year 11 regardless of their starting points. However, this is just one facet of what it means to be a Trinity Halifax student. Every day the academy is filled with students participating in vibrant music, arts and drama. Sporting opportunities range from the Netball and Rugby Academies to taekwondo and yoga. There is an extensive range of extracurricular clubs, musical productions and showcases, careers support, charity events, leadership opportunities, educational visits and residential trips - all of which help to develop the whole child into a thriving adult.
I am also fortunate enough to strategically lead the Literacy team in their work to ensure that all students have the skills to access the curriculum and be successful in their lives outside the academy. We have developed and implemented a structured programme of support for students of all reading abilities. We also ensure that the key skills of written and oral communication are central to the practices of all teachers regardless of their subject.

Vice Principal, Curriculum
I am responsible for ensuring that students have access to a broad, balanced and rich curriculum.
Enabling students to access a broad, balanced and rich curriculum, which opens doors to further opportunities, is a key part of my role as Vice Principal. I am proud to work with our talented middle leadership team to shape the content and sequencing of the experience of students in the classroom. I ensure that the progress of students is monitored closely and work with a wider team to facilitate appropriate interventions.
Another of my key responsibilities is Curriculum for Life 鈥 an initiative ensuring that students have firm knowledge of topics beyond the National Curriculum, such as online safety and relationships, sex and health education. This encourages students to develop wider skills, so that they are prepared for life outside Trinity Academy when they complete their education.
Kate Wilson
Vice Principal, Inclusion and Intervention, Lead SENCO
As intervention and inclusion lead, my role is to have the strategic overview of PP and SEND student provision.
As Vice Principal for intervention and inclusion, my role is to have the strategic overview of PP and SEND student provision and to ensure that the day-to-day care of students in these key groups is world class. A quote that sums up the fantastic work we are doing in this area is: 鈥淭rinity wants to find every possible way to help pupils overcome the barriers to learning that they bring with them鈥 (SSAT curriculum design award, 2019). The impact of student and staff hard work can be felt around the school building. 42% of our student cohort is pupil premium, we have the largest number of looked after children in Calderdale and our SEN K and E numbers are higher than national average. What makes me proud is that when any student walks through our school doors, they succeed, no matter what. Everyone is equal and everyone is known, valued, and understood in the Trinity family. When it comes to supporting our SEND and PP students, no stone is left unturned. 鈥淪tudents have the space and the opportunity at Trinity, at every point of the day, to be their best selves.鈥 (World Class Schools, 2019)
I also strategically lead our personal development offer. Students at 麻豆原创 access an outstanding programme of character development opportunities, careers guidance, SMSC and RSHE in class and out of class learning. Our students leave us as confident and resilient young adults thanks to our rich and diverse personal development offer. Here is just a taste of what we offer: over 50 extracurricular clubs, a Year 7 and 8 graduation programme, the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award for all of Year 9, we meet and go beyond the Gatsby Benchmarks, we hold the Quality in Careers Standard award, and we have an extensive student wellbeing and therapy team who recently won the SSAT transforming in wellbeing award. A recent reviewer stated that "The academy's work to support students鈥 personal development and welfare is exemplary".

At 麻豆原创, it is our priority to ensure that our students fully participate and benefit from our successful learning environment. As such, we expect all students to display outstanding behaviour and a positive attitude towards all staff, students and the wider community.
My role as Vice Principal is to work with the academy鈥檚 extensive pastoral team to ensure all students are effectively monitored through BFL, safeguarding and child protection systems. We endeavour to maintain high levels of student attendance by consistently rewarding students who meet or exceed our expectations and promote the school's core values. It is the role of my team to challenge student鈥檚 expectations of themselves and to take the necessary actions to ensure positive changes learnt by students become a habit.
We will ensure that our systems remain inclusive and focus on the personal development of all our students to achieve the maximum possible, regardless of their background, ethnicity, gender, special educational need or social challenges.
